Citebilityis a Dutch AI visibility scan that measures, in two minutes, whether your business is cited by ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Overviews. We run real queries against five AI engines and analyse eleven technical factors — from Schema.org markup to llms.txt — to determine why AI does or doesn't mention you.
The free scan is public and uses the kind of queries a prospective customer would ask. The full report (€49 one-off) provides a prioritised roadmap with impact points per fix; the free rescan (included with the report) measures your progress thirty days later and stays valid through day 60.
Who is this for?
Citebility is built for marketers, SEO agencies and B2B/service-business owners who notice traditional search traffic falling. If you want to measure whether generative AI mentions your brand, you need a tool that doesn't look at Google rankings but at AI citations. Classic SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush) don't measure AI visibility — that's the gap.
How does the scan work?
- AI citation test (5 engines). We ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and Mistral about your brand. Per engine: cited? with the correct URL? confused with a different name? Clear score per engine.
- Technical AI access. Crawlability, robots.txt for AI bots (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot), llms.txt presence, Schema.org markup and dateModified fields.
- Content & findability. Answer-first structure, section length, FAQ markup, external citations, author signals.
- SERP and AI Overview data. We measure via Google search data whether you appear in AI Overviews for your brand and category queries.
- Competitor benchmark. An automatically selected competitor gets the same scan so you see exactly where the gap is.

Who builds Citebility?
Citebility is built by Geoffrey Roof, AI Solutions Architect at Artificial Studio — an independent AI and automation studio in the Netherlands (trade name of Go-Virtual, KVK 77601262, operating since 2014). Geoffrey has a background in IT infrastructure and security and builds SaaS products for AI visibility (Citebility), data privacy (PII Guard) and agency analytics (AgencyLens).
We eat our own dog food
On citebility.nl we scan our own platform using the same scan engine you can run here on your own domain. The report is public — which forces us to make the tool's blind spots visible, and fix them, before we sell them to customers.

Citebility relies on public standards and open documentation. The most important:
- Schema.org — standardised vocabulary for structured data.
- llms.txt — proposed standard to deliver LLM-friendly summaries.
- OpenAI bot documentation — official user-agents for GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User.
- Anthropic bot documentation — for ClaudeBot and anthropic-ai user-agents.
- Google-Extended — Google's user-agent for AI Overviews and Gemini training data.
